Looking for somewhere really different?  Then try this 16th century manor house hidden away in the Vale of Glamorgan.  Sue Beer is renowned for giving private dinner parties.  The meal is served in the banqueting hall.  Groups of 6 or more recommended.  A reconnaissance of the location is worth it especially if you plan to arrive after dark. Car essential and a taxi to get home even more essential, though a small number of rooms are available B&B.  £40 per head plus wine (you can bring your own if you talk nicely to Sue).  Book well ahead and be prepared to haggle over dates.  You can look for the ghost of the Lady of the Lake as you leave as well!
